I can confirm that Essex County Council does not hold this information.

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request the following information relating to parking enforcement within your local authority area. Where possible, please provide data for the most recent full financial year available. If this is not available, please provide the most recent 12-month period.

Parking fines issued

Question 1 - The total number of parking fines (penalty charge notices – PCNs) issued by road/street name.

Question 2 - A breakdown of PCNs by type, if available (e.g. on-street, off-street, bus lane, moving traffic offences) road/street name.

Revenue generated

Question 3 - The total revenue generated from parking fines.

Question 4 - The total amount of revenue collected (i.e. paid fines, if different)

Appeals & challenges

Question 5 - The total number of parking fines that were formally challenged or appealed.

Question 6 - The number of appeals that were successful (i.e. fines cancelled).

Question 7 - The number of appeals that were rejected.

If the requested information is held in a report or already publicly available, i would appreciate a link or a copy of the relevant document.

If any part of this request exceeds cost limits, please let me know so I can reduce the request to fit within your limits.

Please provide the data in a machine-readable format (e.g. CSV or Excel, where possible). To make this easier, I’ve created a template here showing the preferred format for the data, but I’m happy to receive it in any structure that is most convenient. If you use the template, please ensure you make a copy first before entering your data.
