I can confirm that Essex County Council does not hold this information.

I am writing to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 for the following information regarding your council's resident magazine:

Question 1 - Specification: the current specification of the magazine, including page count, trim size (e.g. a4), paper stock/weight, and finishing method (e.g. saddle stitched, perfect bound).

Question 2 - Quantity and frequency: the print quantity per issue and the number of issues published per financial year.

Question 3 - Expenditure: the total expenditure on the printing (and distribution, if procured together) of the magazine for each of the last two financial years (2024/25 and 2023/24), broken down per issue where possible.

Question 4 - Current supplier: the name of the current print supplier.

Question 5 - Contract details: whether the print is procured under a contract, and if so, the contract start date, end date, and any extension options.

Question 6 - Procurement method: whether the print is procured via a dynamic purchasing system (DPS), framework agreement, or other procurement route. If via a DPS or framework, please confirm the name of the framework/DPS and the portal on which opportunities are advertised (e.g. contracts finder, find a tender, council's own e-tendering portal).

If any of the requested information is not held, I would be grateful if you could confirm this.

Your request should be directed to City, District and Borough Councils who may be able to provide you with the information. Please see our webpages which should help you further.
